Why have we never heard the testimony of how this guy quit his heavy drug abuse? Maybe I missed out on that part of his life. He does not seem to have a sober mind in this clip. Remember the buzz word GRAVITAS back when George W. Bush picked Cheney as his running mate in 2000? There is no gravitas in the Obama administration. It is all just cutesy fun and games. Lord help him and all those who are affected by every decision and non decision that he makes. I pray peace to all those involved with our military and national security as they are subject to the whims of a narcissistic and childish commander-in-chief.

Americans are Taxed Enough Already!
 
It is time to return to God, Family, and Country. Responsible government does not put more on its citizens than they can bear. Responsible government has a reverence for the labors of its people. It takes only what is necessary for the Constitutionally prescribed functions of government. Responsible government knows that the health of the nation depends on the ability of its citizenry to make best use of individual talents, ambitions, dreams, and the labor necessary to achieve. There is an awakening in this land. There is a cry of LIBERTY! The hopes and dreams of our forefathers are being rekindled. This is the day that the Lord has made. We will be glad and rejoice in it. Truth will stand forever, all else will crumble.

Good Al's Vision for Hope and Change

Early this morning I had a vision. What was shown in the vision somewhat paralleled what is described in the Bible in Acts 9 when Saul (soon to be Paul) was struck down from his high mindedness and came into the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Acts 9:2-3  And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.  And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

Saul was zealous in persecuting Christians. As a side note, please notice that he was out to kill men and women. For those who incorrectly assume women are not to minister, you might ask yourself why he felt the need to destroy them as well (traditionally the women and children were left without a husband and father). Our current President is hell bent on persecuting certain types of people and certain sectors of our economy.

In my vision, this high minded individual, Barack Obama, had a real spiritual encounter with God--just like I did and do and will continue to. It is one thing to speak of God, even devils tremble at the name of Jesus, but when you truly know him and seek his will for your life everything  begins to change. My life is a testimony to that. You can find some of my testimony at an old site of mine called Epistles from the Hand of Jonathan. What I saw in the vision was a man of great influence, President Obama, who suddenly began to speak and act on the things that God showed him in His word and in prayer. Suddenly, there was true hope and change.

Our only true hope is Jesus Christ. I can gripe and complain all I want, and believe me I can do it, but God ain't in my pity party. It sounds impossible to me for someone so full of pride like Obama to have a true life changing encounter with Jesus. So that sounds just like God.

Luke 1:37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.

For a man of such great influence to suddenly begin speaking the oracles of God would be mind blowing to the Washington establishment. Paul (formerly Saul) began preaching immediately after he recovered his sight and was baptized by Ananias (see Acts 9 for complete details). The people were amazed by what they heard considering his history.

Acts 9:20-21  And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

Soon there were those that wanted to kill him, which you will find parallels the experience of Jesus early in his ministry. I would expect the same for a truly repentent and God-fearing President Obama.

Call me nuts, but I am praying that God apprehend our President. God is revealing all truth in this day and exposing all things that oppose him. This is the Day of the Lord and He will have His way. All things will work together for the good. My confidence is in God, and I look for impossible things to be manifested in the earth as they already are in Heaven. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. Jesus is Lord.

Veterans Deserve the Best in Health Care

President Obama really raised the ire of veterans and patriotic Americans by floating a "test balloon" in which the idea that wounded vets would have to use their private insurance to cover their medical bills. This President is definitely a student of Saul Alinski and a skilled practitioner of mind manipulation techniques. He has no real concern for military as we have traditionally known the military. He'd like to turn them into a super Peace Corps. His little test balloon is just another technique to hinder the military and stifle recruitment.

There are things however that should be done to improve the health care provided to our veterans. The veterans that I know are Vietnam vets, and they have very few compliments to give to the V.A. hospitals. We should be providing the very best care, and yet we have relegated many veterans to a government run medical system. Those of you who want government to have complete control over health care should talk to some veterans. Those that have to use the V.A. system can tell you some stories about socialized medicine. I believe it is a travesty that we send soldiers to fight for our liberty and we relegate them to socialized medicine.

Would it not be a cheaper and more efficient system of providing health care to veterans by scrapping the V.A. medical system. I believe it would be cheaper to provide an insurance system to the vets that would allow them to go to any medical facilities they deemed necessary. One of my Vietnam vet friends has had to travel hundreds of miles to V.A. hospitals to receive heart treatment, while some of the finest heart care facilities in the state are within a 65 mile radius of where we live. I think we can do better.

Military veterans should have the same access to doctors and medical facilities as anyone else. Congress and government employees have no problem getting what they need, why should veterans be subjected to a lousy, government run system. I think it is a disgrace.

Do your part to stifle this campaign. If they come knocking give them your utmost attention and inquisitiveness. The more time you spend with them, the less time they will have to spend with someone that may not be as knowledgeable as you. So I plan to offer them to come in for coffee so they can sit down and explain the virtues of a communist society. Perhaps my "ignorant" questions will actually lead one of these drones to the truth. Arguing with party activists is not fruitful. I believe more of their time will be wasted by my entertaining them.

Obama Clearly Hates the Disabled

By the way, my title to this post is just a bit exaggerated to say the least, but I thought I'd use it to illustrate the way the libs jump on any little thing and turn it to Mt. Rushmore. I will say that much of Obama's true character comes forth in little pieces in his offhand comments.This is posted in light of the spirit of the attacks that have been used against the likes of President George Bush. Those who do not know me or can not sense sarcasm, no, I do not really think Obama hates the disabled per se. However, I will tell you that his agenda  to nationalize our health care system will degrade the level of service to those with handicaps and the elderly. Young children and babies with disabilities will probably be hit the hardest. I will also tell you that as far as Obama agenda goes, he would just as soon abort any baby with handicaps so that the child would not burden the system. Those of you who have a genuine concern for the disabled, and all of God's children for that matter, you need to do all you can to inform those in your sphere of influence of the dangers of government health care. There are many lives hanging in the balance.

You MUST Send Your Kids to Government Schools

For those who desire to prop up our failed experiment in socialism called the public education system, one of their last arguments is the "socialization" of children. Your child apparently will not function properly in society unless he is introduced to all the unGodly influences that abound in the world. Well, no child of mine would be subjected to that, unless of course, the government takes my child. I do not have any children by the way, but I am a teacher at a small Christian school. The truth of God says that we are to bring children up in the ways of God, not the world. When a child is brought up knowing God's way, he will usually know the difference in truth and a lie when confronted with situations in the world. When a person is taught to distuinguish counterfeit currency, he is not shown all the counterfeit bills that he could possibly encounter. No. He studies extensively the real currency and every little nuance that it may have. I could never dream up every possible evil that would confront me, but I do know truth. Anything that does not line up with that is to have no place in my life. Children do not need to be socialized with the evil of the world to recognize it. They need to know the Truth of Jesus Christ.
 
In the case mentioned in the above article, the judge interjects himself in an area that he should have exercised restraint. His belief in the socialization of children should not be imposed on this mom and her kids. Now just how is this going to help the kids if they are having to be uprooted and reestablished in a totally new learning environment. Because of this wild donkey judge, this mom and her kids will be subjected to years of litigation, red tape, and untold aggravation.

Obama Is Serious About a Civilian National Security Force

One thing about President Barack Hussein Obama, he usually means what he says, at least initially that is. He is always having to back track to cover up the things he really meant when he said it the first time. For example, he said the Rearend Wright was his spiritual mentor. Anyone who has studied the guy knows that this was truly what he meant, but of course Obama had to eventually dump the Rearend when he continued to hear flack about that asscociation of twenty years. So much of what he has said goes unchallenged. For example, how he said in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle on January 17, 2008, that his policies would bankrupt the coal industry, and yet there was no mention of this until about a day before the election. Then there are many things he has spoken that are so unfamiliar with the typical American lexicon that they have been shrugged off as just campaign rhetoric. When he mentioned about having a "civilian national security force" that was just as strong and equally funded as the military, it went without hardly a mention by the major news outlets. Obama has never been pressed on this, and so he has not had to do his kabuki dance around what he meant. Oh, you heard about it in conservative pockets, like on Townhall, and on my blog on Yahoo 360.  The thing is, this President is serious about what he says. In the video from July when he said it, the people just clapped on cue like a bunch of Obamatons while their beloved candidate was telling them that he will have a federal security force within our own country to enforce the coming federal mandates upon the states and the people.

Well, Mr. President Obama repeated his remarks just the other day at the dedication of Abraham Lincoln Hall at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C..

… And that’s why my administration is committed to renewing diplomacy as a tool of American power, and to developing our civilian nationanl security capabilities… … We have to enlist our civilians in the same way that we enlist those members of the armed services in understanding this broad mission that we have.

During the campaign, I kept steering people to Investor's Business Daily and their series Audacity of Socialism. RightReborn also mentions IBD and one of the articles of that series. What good is information if it is never received and acted on in wisdom? The past couple of years have been a frustrating exercise for those who seek to truly inform others. There just does not seem to be much reception until everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

Prince and the Snow of March 2 UPDATE

Somehow something incredible did not register in my mind the other day when I posted the video of my dogs Prince and Hugo in the snow on March 2. I told in my post about Prince wallowing out a figure 8 in the snow about halfway through the video, but for some reason I totally overlooked the fact that March 2 was Prince's 8th birthday. How uncanny is that. It is blowing my mind. Today is March 13 and it just crossed my mind. It already amazed me watching him make the figure 8, but this is just unbelievable to think that he just turned 8 years old that very day.

Commander-in-Chief Barry O'

When you are a President of the United States, respect from the military is critically important as Commander-in-Chief. Our country is noted for placing its military under the command of its highest civilian official, the President. The military is subject to the Executive Branch of our government, and not vice versa. That is good. However, when a President shows such a lack of concern for military and national security issues as our current President, not to mention his ineptitude and that of his staff concerning such issues, he will not engender the support of the troops. If he does not have the earned respect of the military, he will not have it with world leaders, dictators, tyrants, or terrorists. I said it long ago-- America elected its first truly Marxist President on November 4, 2008. He just happens to be a man of color. Barack Obama received little scrutiny in a two year long campaign in large part because of the color of his skin and the fear harbored by many of being tagged a racist. The Obama campaign used such fear tactics throughout the campaign, while being exalted as one who transcends race. Yea, right. So now we have a complete Marxist idealogue who is deadset on gutting our military and all that has made America great. Hurrah for Change and Hope!
