A Message from the President on Health Care

Somehow, I got placed on the White House email list. I don't remember ever signing up. Our compassionate leader just sent this message to me. His message is full of the misinformation that he claims the opposition is using. The fact is the Democrats are doing all they can to shut out the truth on this legislation. This legislation will do nothing to improve health care, no, just the opposite, but we will all have "coverage." So comforting.
The White House, Washington

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Americans, there’s nothing more important to you about health care than peace of mind.

Given the status quo, that’s understandable. The current system often denies insurance due to pre-existing conditions, charges steep out-of-pocket fees – and sometimes isn’t there at all if you become seriously ill.

It’s time to fix our unsustainable insurance system and create a new foundation for health care security. That means guaranteeing your health care security and stability with eight basic consumer protections:
  • No discrimination for pre-existing conditions
  • No exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays
  • No cost-sharing for preventive care
  • No dropping of coverage if you become seriously ill
  • No gender discrimination
  • No annual or lifetime caps on coverage
  • Extended coverage for young adults
  • Guaranteed insurance renewal so long as premiums are paid
Learn more about these consumer protections at Whitehouse.gov.

Over the next month there is going to be an avalanche of misinformation and scare tactics from those seeking to perpetuate the status quo. But we know the cost of doing nothing is too high. Health care costs will double over the next decade, millions more will become uninsured, and state and local governments will go bankrupt.

It’s time to act and reform health insurance, drive down costs and guarantee the health care security and stability of every American family. You can help by putting these core principles of reform in the hands of your friends, your family, and the rest of your social network.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

With No Liberty, but Abortions for All!

In the ObamaCare, there will be plenty of help for people that want abortions, and those that want to opt out of life. A government run system will never be able to support itself. So the first to go are the elderly and children with disabilities. It is preferable in a plan such as they are pushing, that handicap babies be aborted so they will not put a load on the health care system. There is no compassion in a government run health care system, just ask any veteran that uses the VA system, or go on a Indian reservation and check out the Federal government run Indian Health Services system. I hope Americans of all types and labels will realize that our system is the one that provides all the new innovations used around the world. Many things we take for granted, will be done away with in a government run system. All the premature babies that are saved these days. That will have to go, it is too expensive. I doubt my life would have been saved back in 1999 when I cracked my skull. I tell you, the same antichrist spirit behind the abortion agenda is behind this legislation. I heard Obama touting how lifespans are longer in some of these countries with government run health care systems. Well, how do you come up with the average lifespan. You average all the lives. Well, the average is affected the most by the early deaths of babies and children. Think about it. If I average 100 with 0, I get 50. So the higher lifespan average does not necessarily mean people are living longer, but most likely there are less infant mortalities to pull down the average. So if you can abort more "problem" pregnancies, the average lifespan goes up. Abortions are not averaged into the average lifespan. I HOPE OBAMA FAILS, so that America can succeed. I posted an article on some of this the other day http://alligobbler.multiply.com/journal/item/174
Here's another post I called, "Bend Over America." http://alligobbler.multiply.com/journal/item/173

Despite the rhetoric used by our President, what he and the Congress are attempting has nothing to do with reform. It is all about increasing government control in the lives of our people and in the affairs of our economy. It is totally unConstitutional, but who cares anymore, right? Medicare, Social Security, the Department of Education, Department of Health and Social Services, etc.--none of that is Constitutional. We've just come to accept these things. However, every department of the Federal government that is operating outside of the bounds of the Constitution is an utter failure. None of these programs are effective, but they perpetuate into what seems like eternity. Ronald Reagan once said that the closest thing we have as an example of eternity is a government program. That is why it is important Obama and the Congress fail at their attempt at dismantling the private system of health care.

I was hanging out at the street corner the other night with a local businessman. He is in the process of buying some empty downtown buildings in my town of Wadesboro. We met a doctor who was taking photographs of historical things around the courthouse and such. He is from up in the mountains of NC, and is on temporary hire down here. Well, the businessman asked him about the health care debate. This doctor had a single comment. He said something like, "We have problems in our health care system, but what they are trying to pass will destroy the system for everyone." He was very concerned. And he did not strike me as a conservative as I am. Just a concerned American who happens to work in the system everyday.

Dear Congressman Kissell

Congressman Kissell,

I beseech you to go beyond party politics with the current health care debate. I was really troubled in meeting a visiting doctor in my town of Wadesboro the other night. His response to the health care proposals was this, "Yes, we have some problems in the system, but what the Congress is trying to do will destroy the system for all of us." This was not from some party hack, or a conservative for that matter. Just a concerned doctor that works in the system everyday.

This government takeover of health care is going to have severe ramifications on our country as a whole and the rest of the world. Was it government that gave us all the innovations today that we take for granted? NO! Are the government programs in health care that we already have examples of success? NO! Medicare is a failure, Medicaid is a failure. The Indian Health Service is a failure. The VA system of health care is a failure. Why are these programs not sustaining themselves? The same reason AMTRAK does not sustain itself, or any other program that is outside of the Constitutional limitations on the Federal government.

The Federal government is not meant to be in our personal lives as this Congress is intending it to be. As far as I am concerned, we are governed by a pack of liars. Each one of you swears to uphold the Constitution, and yet you do nothing of the sort. But I guess that document is "deeply flawed," as Obama puts it. It is meant to limit the power of the Federal government and that is the "flaw" that people like our President do not like. The Federal government has no right to be involved in my personal life, and especially my health care decisions. The only reason we are in a position to do all these "wonderful" big government things is that someone in this country is working there butts off to succeed even despite the encroachments that lawmakers of all stripes are imposing on us "subjects." As you and your colleagues continue to encroach on liberty and destroy what is left of free markets, the money to fund all these "great" programs will dry up.

I am determined to do all I can to defeat any politicians that continue to push these Marxist ideas of "free" health care, "cap and trade" energy policies, and anything of the sort that destroys our ability to live free and excel. I believe in American exceptionalism. It does not come from a government mandate, tax, or program. Why don't you politicians confiscate the companies that make all your neat gadgets like the Blackberry? Do you think we'd have all these innovations if we depended on government to command and control the production of consumer goods in this country. Similarly, the rest of the world depends on American innovation in health care equipment and procedures. As government drives out good people and destroys the private sector in health care, these great marvels of science and medicine will decline. It is already happening with all  the government mandates, red tape, and legalities that have to be endured by health care professionals and companies in the health care industry. Many good people are getting out, or choosing not to pursue careers in medicine. Innovations are being stifled for lack of profitability.

This health care proposal is nothing short of an attack on the elderly, children with disabilities, the unborn with disabilities, and the infirmed in general, not to mention the private sector. President Obama himself, and some of your colleagues, are on record as stating their goal of destroying the private sector in health care. Congressman, this is not what made America great. We are great because of liberty. The freedom for Americans to follow their talents, ideas, and desires.

I hope someone will wake up out of their party loyalties and see these measures in health care, energy, environment, and the like for what they are. They are attempts to remake America and take it away from its founding principles. Many people have preceded us that gave their lives and livelihoods up for the sake of the liberty that has made this country great. I will work incessantly to see that any lawmakers that continue to undermine what is left of liberty in this country be defeated. If you are one of them, then so be it.

Please, Congressman, side with liberty, the American way, and the American people. I apologize for using such strong language, because I do honor your service and know that you are a decent man. However, these current proposals in health care and energy will bring great harm to us all. I do thank you for your vote against the Cap and Trade bill.

Thank you,

Jonathan Alligood

Love Is in the Air--My Dog Hugo Is in Love

One of my two maltipoos, Hugo, is fascinated with my neighbor's Springer Spaniel named Candy. Every time I bring my dogs outside, Hugo looks across the yard looking for Candy. When she is there, they lock eyes for a while, and then Candy will ease herself up to Hugo. Hugo has a little problem however. She is quite a bit larger than he, and she is still pretty much a puppy. So when she starts to play, he is overwhelmed by her size and exhuberance. She has trouble taking a hint from him when he snaps back at her.

Do You Really Want "Free" Health Care?

Why is it so many politicians are always so big on breaking up monopolies in the private sector? Well, I'd contend their motives are not so pure, because most so called monopolies in the private sector were aided by government. In general though, monopolies tend to limit peoples choices and quality of goods and services, whereas, competition brings the cream to the top. If I am the only person within a hundred miles selling apples, and there is a good demand for apples, I can sell inferior apples at a higher price than normal. Now, If John Doe moves in down the street, selling better quality apples, at a more reasonable price; what will I have to do in order for my business to survive? Well, I'll be forced to improve my product and lower my prices.

Now, if I am the government selling the apples, I can just make the rules of selling apples such that John Doe cannot make a profit, and thus, his business will go under. Right now, in our Federal government, and down to many of our local governments, there is a push to change all the rules of economics and dismantle the notion of free markets. Already, the House has passed a so called energy bill that will bring destruction and chaos into our everyday way of life. The "Cap and Trade" bill has more to do with the taking of liberty, than its stated purposes of "energy independence" and "cleaner environment." It will lead to more energy dependence on foreign sources or shortages, a less clean environment, a decrease in our standard of living, and overall an all out assault on what is left of a free market. That energy bill is still in the Senate, and if passed it has to go through reconciliation with the House before a vote on its final passage. So if you have concerns about the destruction of the American way of life, it'd be a good idea to contact yours and others elected officials in Washington.

Now, a similar effort to take more liberty is being worked out in the House under the guise of health care. I hope somebody is waking up to the tyranny that is being perpetrated by this Congress. Has anybody noticed what has happened in the health care industry since the 1960's when government instituted Medicare? Government intrusion into an industry always leads to increased costs and increased inefficiency. Does anybody who is clammering for government controlled health care know a veteran that uses the VA health care system? Our soldiers have fought for us through the years and we have rewarded them with a government health care system. A system that gives them long waits, long rides to facilities, less choices, and very much frustration. Go ask some veterans what they think of government health care. Well, I always thought this was a grave injustice to our veterans. So now, we are about to expand government into the health care of every American citizen, not to mention illegal aliens.

Once again, just as the "Cap and Trade" bill had more to do with taking of liberty, so it is with the coming health care bill. The new legislation is so "good," the Democratic leaders do not even want their fellow lawmakers to read it. Just as Speaker Nancy Pelosi rammed the energy bill through without anyone having read the bill, so will it be with the health care bill. How can the Democratic Party Congressional leadership confidently pass a bill they have not read. Why does this not bother the party faithful? Well, they have their apparatchiks writing the bills with the overall goal of government control. As long as the direction of the bill is for more government control, they are not concerned with the details. They will not have to live with the details, the American citizens will. The Democratic Party is the party of government and it hopes to create a voting block of dependents so large it will be near impossible to thwart at the voting booth. For years they have scared senior citizens into voting for them on the basis that the other guy was going to take away their Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Just think how they will use this health care takeover. Do you really want your health care dictated by politicians?

I hope my fellow Americans of all types regardless of labels will take notice of this. First of all, is it proper for our government to be taking over industries as they have over the past year? Do you really want your health care controlled by government entities that are influenced by politics? Do you really want a government monopoly controlling matters of life and death for you and your family.

I began this piece by speaking of monopolies. The same politicians that are always so excited about ending private sector monopolies are the very ones bringing about a government monopoly in health care. Let me just tell you, when government takes over something, you lose the incentive to do better. Government looks at everything as a finite pie, and if you don't fit into their prescribed definitions, that is just too bad for you or your loved one. Liberal politicians make the word "profit" a dirty word, but without a profit incentive, no business has the motivation to do better. In my example of selling apples above, as long as there was no competition, the product suffered in quality and the price was not in line with the value of the product.

Once the government becomes the only health care provider, who will you go to when you do not like the care that you are receiving? Right now, I get perturbed with the U.S. Postal Service in my area because of the way they deliver my conservative magazines late, and apparently used. Guess what, by government fiat, I don't have another postal service provider, so I learn to accept inferior service. You can point out many problems in our current system, but the answer to those problems is not creating government monopolies. The answer is found in my apple story above. Get the government out of the system, and let more competition and new methods enter into the system. More liberty equals more efficiency and quality in all facets of the economy.

Well, if you are very wealthy or well connected, you will always have a way around the system. Just ask some of those that were in the oligarchy of the old Soviet Union. Communism was not a problem for them, but for 10 million peasants that died in Stalin's government induced famines, it was.

The following video by Steven Crowder of PJTV is very illustrative of what happens when government monopolizes the health care industry, as evidenced in Canada. It is true of every industry government takes over (just wait and see what happens with GM and Chrysler), but when it comes to health care, we are affecting people on a level of life and death.

Ronald Reagan warned of all this government intrusion in to health care back in the 1960's. If his words had been heeded at that time, we would not have a lot of the mess that we have now. The very government that created the mess is proposing to take over the whole mess. What do you think that holds for the level of quality in the health care industry? American ingenuity has brought about so many new treatments in medical care despite the government intrusion we now have, but that is about to come to an end if we allow this health care bill to pass Congress. Innovation and ingenuity thrive in a competitive marketplace, not in a government bureaucracy. Listen to what Ronald Reagan has to say, and then let your representatives and Senators hear what you have to say.

By the way, my health care plan would include the "Canada or Cuba option." Anyone that loved the system of government controlled health care would be given free access to use Canada or Cuba's health care system. Do you think the likes of Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, or Henry Waxman would take up that offer?

Bend Over, America

I love this cover of the latest issue of National Review. It is very apropos. Now is the time to let your Representatives and Senators know how terrible government controlled health care will be. If it is passed, the damage will be done. The solution to problems in the health care industry today are not to shut off competition and create government monopolies, but to back the government out and bring competition in.

Revelation Academy--A School, a Mission, a Ministry in Wadesboro, NC

Here is a brochure that I've been working on for the school at which I teach, minister, and administrate. We are gearing up for an increase this coming year. There is not much time to breathe and we are believing that God is going to meet us with a ram as we pursue our way up the precipice.

http://www.mediafire.com/?1qwjmq5znxg

Here is a brochure I did that explains our vision for the school and our statement of faith.

http://www.mediafire.com/?5enjz2idnkm

Our school is located in a rural county with double digit unemployment. We are the only private Christian school in the county. We are entering our seventh year. Its been a great walk of faith, but we feel a great sense of increase for this coming year. There is much to do in so little time. It will have to be God. Thank you Lord for that which you have before ordained for us to walk in. We will walk by faith and not by sight.

Them That Love His Appearing

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that LOVE HIS APPEARING. (2 Tim 4:8)

Is the Apostle Paul speaking of loving Jesus' appearing now or later? YES. Jesus has come in a body, he is coming in the spirit in a many membered body right now, and he will come again in "like manner" in a body (Acts 1:11)

When will he come again in like manner as he left in Acts 1? As soon as the bride, his church has prepared herself. It is a matter of "till" not "when."

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (Ephesians 4:13)

The church is not there yet, but those who "agapao" love His appearing will know. God is gathering together, or assembling, his body in this present age.

He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. (Luke 11:23)

He is come, present tense, in the flesh.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:2-3)

Do you love his appearing now? Are you seeing him in the flesh? And why is He come in the flesh?

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29)

The work of the spirit is to bring us up to the realm of God and out of the dust of carnality--to walk in the spirit. To be partakers of the divine nature. If I deny that in my life, and continually shun the conviction of the Holy Ghost, I am rooted in rebellion and the purpose of God will lie dormant. God is working on "those that love his appearing" to produce a people that have his image or character.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Ephesians 5:27)

By implication, "those that love his appearing" are those that are planted where God desires them to be for his purpose. Those that run from the bounds of their habitation as determined by God will not be conformed. Where there is no accountability, there is no conforming to the image of the son. We must discern the Lord's body properly. As we submit to the Father's will and follow on to know him, we come to find our place and recognize those that labor among us. We begin to see Christ in a people, how we each fit in, and the vital necessity of each person. We are going in together. There will be no lone rangers.

He will be seen in operation in a corporate body before he will return in like manner as he left in bodily form. Each part must come together in its proper place. We are to be partners in Christ--we each play a part.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)

So I don't look to the clouds in the sky, but to the body of Christ for his appearing. We are to be conformed to the image of the Son and brought into the unity of the faith. There will be a body that is one with the Father and one to another.

[As a side note, what was that manner described in Acts 1? He went from the visible to the invisible--a one step process. That begs the question why so many "theories" have multi-steps. I am not ashamed of this Gospel, and I will teach the whole counsel of God. There is much that I will write and teach that will not agree with people's religiosity. Good. If you are never stretched you will never grow. True apostolic ministry will stretch you, and my church Crown & Glory Bible Center, led by Apostle Donald Rodenberger, has an apostolic burden to strengthen and build up the body of Christ.  There are so many man-made and hand me down doctrines in the church that people don't know what to believe. Hand me down doctrines are those things we just assume to be true because we heard others teach them. We just assume them to be true out of respect to the office of authority of the ministers that we hear from. True revelation will come to those that have submitted themselves to the will of the Father, and it is revealed by the spirit. It does not come from theology class. Without the infilling of the Holy Ghost, you will never catch true revelation in the spirit, and you will not walk in your full destiny. Of course, much of religion tells me the baptism of  the Holy Ghost was just for them in the early church. Well, I am living it. A man with an experience is not at the expense of one with an argument.]

Honoring Fallen Hero, Sergeant First Class John C. Beale

The following is a video showing the public reaction to the motorcade for the funeral of fallen hero, Sergeant First Class John C. Beale. It gives me hope for this country. Quite frankly I cried like a baby as I watched this video, even though I am a manly man. The fact is there are still people that gird up our country. People that give honor where honor is due. People that love God, and country. People that may be detached from the regular policy issues that many of us regularly discuss. People that are busy doing the business of America. These are Americans. Lord, bless the family of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale, and all those who have lost loved ones who were willing to pay the ultimate price.
