With No Liberty, but Abortions for All!

In the ObamaCare, there will be plenty of help for people that want abortions, and those that want to opt out of life. A government run system will never be able to support itself. So the first to go are the elderly and children with disabilities. It is preferable in a plan such as they are pushing, that handicap babies be aborted so they will not put a load on the health care system. There is no compassion in a government run health care system, just ask any veteran that uses the VA system, or go on a Indian reservation and check out the Federal government run Indian Health Services system. I hope Americans of all types and labels will realize that our system is the one that provides all the new innovations used around the world. Many things we take for granted, will be done away with in a government run system. All the premature babies that are saved these days. That will have to go, it is too expensive. I doubt my life would have been saved back in 1999 when I cracked my skull. I tell you, the same antichrist spirit behind the abortion agenda is behind this legislation. I heard Obama touting how lifespans are longer in some of these countries with government run health care systems. Well, how do you come up with the average lifespan. You average all the lives. Well, the average is affected the most by the early deaths of babies and children. Think about it. If I average 100 with 0, I get 50. So the higher lifespan average does not necessarily mean people are living longer, but most likely there are less infant mortalities to pull down the average. So if you can abort more "problem" pregnancies, the average lifespan goes up. Abortions are not averaged into the average lifespan. I HOPE OBAMA FAILS, so that America can succeed. I posted an article on some of this the other day http://alligobbler.multiply.com/journal/item/174
Here's another post I called, "Bend Over America." http://alligobbler.multiply.com/journal/item/173

Despite the rhetoric used by our President, what he and the Congress are attempting has nothing to do with reform. It is all about increasing government control in the lives of our people and in the affairs of our economy. It is totally unConstitutional, but who cares anymore, right? Medicare, Social Security, the Department of Education, Department of Health and Social Services, etc.--none of that is Constitutional. We've just come to accept these things. However, every department of the Federal government that is operating outside of the bounds of the Constitution is an utter failure. None of these programs are effective, but they perpetuate into what seems like eternity. Ronald Reagan once said that the closest thing we have as an example of eternity is a government program. That is why it is important Obama and the Congress fail at their attempt at dismantling the private system of health care.

I was hanging out at the street corner the other night with a local businessman. He is in the process of buying some empty downtown buildings in my town of Wadesboro. We met a doctor who was taking photographs of historical things around the courthouse and such. He is from up in the mountains of NC, and is on temporary hire down here. Well, the businessman asked him about the health care debate. This doctor had a single comment. He said something like, "We have problems in our health care system, but what they are trying to pass will destroy the system for everyone." He was very concerned. And he did not strike me as a conservative as I am. Just a concerned American who happens to work in the system everyday.

Dear Congressman Kissell

Congressman Kissell,

I beseech you to go beyond party politics with the current health care debate. I was really troubled in meeting a visiting doctor in my town of Wadesboro the other night. His response to the health care proposals was this, "Yes, we have some problems in the system, but what the Congress is trying to do will destroy the system for all of us." This was not from some party hack, or a conservative for that matter. Just a concerned doctor that works in the system everyday.

This government takeover of health care is going to have severe ramifications on our country as a whole and the rest of the world. Was it government that gave us all the innovations today that we take for granted? NO! Are the government programs in health care that we already have examples of success? NO! Medicare is a failure, Medicaid is a failure. The Indian Health Service is a failure. The VA system of health care is a failure. Why are these programs not sustaining themselves? The same reason AMTRAK does not sustain itself, or any other program that is outside of the Constitutional limitations on the Federal government.

The Federal government is not meant to be in our personal lives as this Congress is intending it to be. As far as I am concerned, we are governed by a pack of liars. Each one of you swears to uphold the Constitution, and yet you do nothing of the sort. But I guess that document is "deeply flawed," as Obama puts it. It is meant to limit the power of the Federal government and that is the "flaw" that people like our President do not like. The Federal government has no right to be involved in my personal life, and especially my health care decisions. The only reason we are in a position to do all these "wonderful" big government things is that someone in this country is working there butts off to succeed even despite the encroachments that lawmakers of all stripes are imposing on us "subjects." As you and your colleagues continue to encroach on liberty and destroy what is left of free markets, the money to fund all these "great" programs will dry up.

I am determined to do all I can to defeat any politicians that continue to push these Marxist ideas of "free" health care, "cap and trade" energy policies, and anything of the sort that destroys our ability to live free and excel. I believe in American exceptionalism. It does not come from a government mandate, tax, or program. Why don't you politicians confiscate the companies that make all your neat gadgets like the Blackberry? Do you think we'd have all these innovations if we depended on government to command and control the production of consumer goods in this country. Similarly, the rest of the world depends on American innovation in health care equipment and procedures. As government drives out good people and destroys the private sector in health care, these great marvels of science and medicine will decline. It is already happening with all  the government mandates, red tape, and legalities that have to be endured by health care professionals and companies in the health care industry. Many good people are getting out, or choosing not to pursue careers in medicine. Innovations are being stifled for lack of profitability.

This health care proposal is nothing short of an attack on the elderly, children with disabilities, the unborn with disabilities, and the infirmed in general, not to mention the private sector. President Obama himself, and some of your colleagues, are on record as stating their goal of destroying the private sector in health care. Congressman, this is not what made America great. We are great because of liberty. The freedom for Americans to follow their talents, ideas, and desires.

I hope someone will wake up out of their party loyalties and see these measures in health care, energy, environment, and the like for what they are. They are attempts to remake America and take it away from its founding principles. Many people have preceded us that gave their lives and livelihoods up for the sake of the liberty that has made this country great. I will work incessantly to see that any lawmakers that continue to undermine what is left of liberty in this country be defeated. If you are one of them, then so be it.

Please, Congressman, side with liberty, the American way, and the American people. I apologize for using such strong language, because I do honor your service and know that you are a decent man. However, these current proposals in health care and energy will bring great harm to us all. I do thank you for your vote against the Cap and Trade bill.

Thank you,

Jonathan Alligood
